GUARNIZIONI SPIROMETALLICHE
Le guarnizioni spirometalliche (SW) sono costituite da una striscia continua di materiale metallico sagomato, accoppiata ad una striscia di materiale di riempimento esente amianto (PTFE, grafite, fibra ceramica o vetro) avvolte con tensione costante. Le guarnizioni spirometalliche, mediante l'azione elastica della striscia metallica, offrono una perfetta tenuta in tutte le condizioni di temperatura e pressione di esercizio. La forma di costruzione è normalmente circolare ma è possibile produrle in forma ovale, a losanga, oblunga, a pera. Le guarnizioni spirometalliche si installano normalmente su flange a finitura liscia.
SPIRAL WOUND GASKET
The spiral wound gasket (SW) are made of a continuous metallic stripe coupled with a continuous filling stripe (asbestos free, PTFE, graphite, ceramic or glass fibre) wound in concentric spirals under constants stress. Due to elastic action of the metallic stripe profile, the spiral wound gasket offer a perfect seal under all working temperature and pression conditions. The normal shape is circular but oval, lozenge, oblong and pear shape can be made. Spiral wound gasket are usually installed with flanges having a smooth finish raised face.

ANELLI DI CENTRAGGIO
Lo spessore degli anelli di centraggio è in funzione dello spessore della guarnizione. L'uso degli anelli ha scopi ben precisi.
CENTERING RING
The thickness of the gauged rings is in function of gasket's thickness. The inclusion of centering ring has very strict purposes.
ANELLO ESTERNO
Serve come dispositivo di centraggio tra i bulloni. Previene l'espansione laterale della guarnizione. Serve come spessore di riferimento per un corretto montaggio della guarnizione.
OUTER RING
It serves as a centering device for a fast and accurate mounting on the flange. It avoids the lateral expansion of the gasket. It is used as datum plane to avoid an excessive compression of the gasket.
ANELLO INTERNO
Ha funzione di antiturbolenza in quanto normalmente ha il diametro interno uguale al diametro interno della flangia. Evita il depositarsi di materiale tra l'intersizio delle flange. Normalmente è costruito con materiale identico a quello della spirale per cui ne protegge la corrosione, elimina le erosioni della flangia.
INNER RING
It has anti-turbolence hfunction it eliminates the corrosion of the flange and protect the gasket. It is made with the same material of the spiral because it is in direct contact with the fluid and it must protect from corrosion.
